A friend of mine has agreed to do a Caribbean food blog here. That means we can all learn to make some nice Caribbean dishes with pictures. I can't wait. I was soooo late for work today. I just missed a bus when I was going to the stop. You know how it is, you run for the bus, the driver sees you but takes off just for spite. As I was missing that bus, one went by in the other direction, then later another one went by and still later, yet another one went by. That was three buses going south and none coming north. We were so pissed. Both me and another woman at the stop were fuming because we ended up waiting half an hour for a bus that's supposed to come every 5-7 mins.Finally the bus came and I had my paper and pen handy to write down the number so I could phone in a complaint. We were all ready to yell at the driver when luckily the driver said there was an accident and that's why it took so long.Then, there was this woman on the bus talking on the phone, it looked like she was crying. She got up to speak with the driver and all of a sudden she started using the most vulgar language at him. I was shocked. There was no need for it at all. She was yelling at him, calling him names, she called him a pediphile who liked to screw children. She opened her legs, pointed at her crotch and told him to lick it. My mouth totally dropped when she did that. WTF?I thought, "Oh my god, just let me get to work TODAY". The driver stopped the bus. One guy in the back, yelled out, "kick her off!" I thought the driver was going to call the police, which would mean we would have been there forever. He said he was going to but thank god he didn't. The whacko lady got off at Bloor. She was still calling him names and swearing at him.What a day! I was sooo late for work. Thank god the supervisor wasn't there.
TTC Officers want to carry guns and tasers. That's right folks, if you cause a disturbance in the subway you could be fried like that poor man that was fried to dead at the airport. There have been many taser deaths but they have not been reported to the public. Now the TTC wants to equip their security staff with the death weapons. There are such dangerous people riding the subway. For instance the drunk sleeping on three seats, the mentally ill man standing in between the doors annoying the passengers, the two teenagers having a scuffle on the platform. In all my years living in Toronto, I have never seen a crime being committed in the subway. Not one that requires a gun or a freakin taser!!!!!! What the eff?I don't even think police and security are taught to talk a criminal out of doing violence. They shoot unarmed civilians in the back, simply because they are running away. And they shoot to kill! It's scary!! Now everybody wants a taser. The taser is supposed to be an alternative to a gun, except the taser kills more people now than guns because people don't just get tasered once, they get tasered as many times as needed to keep them down. I saw a video where a police officer tasered a woman 6 times. Some of them enjoy watching the victim twist like a fish out of water. It's disgusting.Sometimes all the shit that is happening by people in authority makes me want to never leave my house. It's not the criminals I'm afraid of, because I know the criminal will be prosecuted. I know if a guy wants my wallet, if I give him my wallet, most likely I won't be shot. But if a police officer approaches me, who's going to protect me? No one. He can shoot me. He can taser me as much as he likes and who's going to stop him? Even if there's videotape, all he'll get is suspended WITH PAY.I'll be dead and he'll be on vacation while the police try to hush it up. Fuckers!!
Two Toronto Police officers enlisted the help of a real estate agent to buy houses in order to use them to grow marijuana. The officers were not arrested even though they were part of this massive drug operation.What I love about the police is how they protect their own. If I had bought houses and turned them into grow-ops, I would be looking at at least 25 years in prison. The two officers of the law, get suspended WITH PAY. In other words they get a paid vacation for committing a crime. The rest of us would be sitting in jail, they get to sit home and wait for the next pay-cheque. And the police want the public to take them seriously. Puh-leese!!!!When cops commit crimes and get away with it, it sends a clear message to the public that cops are above the law. Next time they pull a gun and shoot you, good luck getting justice. I saw a videotape of an officer beating up a black guy and even with the videotape evidence, the officer got suspended with pay and no-charges. No Charges!!!!!I do not trust the police. As far as I'm concerned they are bottom of the barrel scum. It's sad, that if you are black and you're being killed you have to think twice about calling the police. Most likely you won't have to call them though because it will be them who's killing you.It's a sad world we're living in.
One of my favourite shows right now is Wipeout. If you haven't seen it then you should. I love that show.I think the prize money is kinda low though compared to other shows. It's only fifty thousand dollars. By the time Uncle Sam gets his hand on his share there's practically nothing left. I laugh so hard everytime they go bouncing around on the balls. That, to me is the funniest part of the show. The punching wall is also hilarious. No one has made it across that thing yet.
